 A Free* Information and Training Seminar
‘Secondary Cover Supervisors’

Monday 25th January 2010, 9.30a.m. to 3.30p.m.

Since September 2009 Academic Appointments have been responding to the needs of several secondary school clients by providing cover supervisors for the short-term absences of teachers.

If you can say yes to one or more of the following -
• educated to degree level?
• experienced working in an education setting?
• Intent on embarking on teacher training in the future?
and would like to join our growing list of staff able to cover such vacancies, this information and training seminar is for you.


The full day seminar will cover a variety of topics including:

Understanding the role(s) of a Cover Supervisor
A day in the life of a Cover Supervisor.
Lesson materials.
Classroom and behaviour management techniques.
Child Protection

*There is no charge to staff already registered with us, a fee of £30 is payable by those not registered.

Light refreshments will be provided during the day. Lunch will be from 1.00 – 1.45p.m. and items can be purchased from the Icon Café or local Greggs bakery.
