Academic Appointments are currently working alongside a special school in Leeds, West Yorkshire to appoint a Special Needs Teacher to Teach Food Technology, with immediate effect.

The school are looking to work with an experienced Food Teacher who is comfortable teaching across all age groups. The role involves teaching a range of topics to primary and secondary aged pupils with a variety of special educational needs. This could include, but is not limited to, Autism, Asperger’s, Downs Syndrome, PMLD as well as physical and learning needs.
This is a ‘Good’ school, with a strong and effective leadership team in place to ensure that the school achieves excellence. Their aim is to challenge and inspire its students to achieve their full potential. The school is described by staff as an excellent place to work and learn.
- QTS or equivalent
- Able to teach food technology
- Previous experience in a similar role in school is preferable
- 2 x references from educational establishments
- A valid DBS or be willing to obtain one
- Team Teach desirable but not essential
