The Role

As an EYFS Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where children can develop academically, socially, and emotionally. You will deliver engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, ensuring every child is supported to achieve their full potential.

You will work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, Early Years practitioners, and school leaders to provide high-quality learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support children's learning through play-based and structured activities.
• Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress.
• Promote children's communication, language, literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and wider school staff.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.
• Follow safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within EYFS in a UK primary school.
• Secure knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A creative and engaging approach to teaching and learning.
• A genuine passion for Early Years education.
• Flexibility to undertake day-to-day, short-term, and long-term assignments.
• Recent professional references covering teaching experience.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
