General Cover Primary Teacher / Supply Teacher

We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and adaptable Primary Teachers to join our supply team, working across a variety of mainstream primary schools throughout North Yorkshire. As a Primary Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, helping pupils to develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a positive and engaging classroom environment.
The Role:
Working alongside school leaders and support staff, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners. Opportunities are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, with roles ranging from day-to-day supply to long-term placements.
Responsibilities:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Assessing, monitoring, and recording pupils' progress.
Differentiating learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils.
Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting positive attitudes to learning.
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and carers.
Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to support school improvement and pupil outcomes.
Maintaining accurate records and completing required school documentation.
Following safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
Previous experience teaching within a primary school setting.
A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build positive relationships quickly and work effectively as part of a team.
A genuine passion for education and supporting children's learning and development.
Availability to work full-time and commitment to long-term placements where required.
A flexible and reliable approach to work, including punctuality and professionalism.
Ability to provide recent professional references covering teaching experience.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and child protection procedures.
