Academic Appointments are seeking a KS1 and KS2 HLTA for a primary schools in Leeds. We have immediate starts available, for the right candidates.

• Have the drive and determination to make a difference
• Have high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour
• Be an excellent class practitioner, who demonstrates outstanding classroom practice and who has children at the heart of all they do!
• Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative and ambitious
• Recent and relevant experience of working with children
• High expectations of children’s achievement.

Requirements:

• A relevant teaching assistant qualification that qualifies you to work as a HLTA
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the wider community.
• A nurturing and child-centred approach to teaching, with a passion for supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of young learners.
• 2 x references (including your last employer)
• A current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to obtain one.
